Candidates in the three races for seats on the Clark County Council participated in a candidate forum Wednesday evening
Candidates in each of three Clark County Council races on the Aug. 2 primary election ballot participated in a candidate forum hosted by Rob Anderson and Reform Clark County and moderated by Clark County Today Editor Ken Vance.

All candidates were invited to participate in the event, which was held at the Black Pearl on the Columbia in Washougal. Six of the 10 candidates vying for the three seats on the council participated in the forum, offering statements of their candidacy to those in attendance. The candidates also answered questions and were given an opportunity to provide a rebuttal to the comments of their fellow candidate.

In the race for the District 1 seat, Doug Coop and Glen Yung participated. Candidate Hector Hinojosa was not in attendance. Michelle Belkot and Kim Hamlik were the District 2 candidates in attendance. Candidate Chartisha Roberts was not present. In the District 5 race, Don Benton and Dick Rylander participated and candidates Sue Marshall and Rick Torres were not in attendance.
