Vancouver Police looking for missing Vancouver woman (Photo) – 11/08/21
The Vancouver Police Department is seeking the public’s help is locating 22-year-old Acacia Savannah Sellers. Acacia was most recently houseless and associated with a black 2006 Ford F-150 pickup. She has most recently lived in camps in Vancouver and Portland.
Acacia is a biracial (black and white) female with blue eyes and brown hair. She is 5’5″ tall and 140 lbs.

Vancouver, Wash. –On November 7, 2021, at approximately 10:39 a.m., Vancouver Police were dispatched to a residence in the 2400 block of F Street for the report of an assault with a weapon. When officers arrived, they located a male outside the house with a knife in his hand. He was taken into custody by police without incident. A female was located inside the residence suffering from stab wounds. She was transported to an area hospital where she later died from her injuries. The couple’s 8-year-old child was located inside the home and was not physically injured.
The male was interviewed and subsequently arrested for Murder I. The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit is continuing the investigation. The names of the victim and the suspect are not being released at this time, pending notification of next of kin.

Vancouver, Wash. –Vancouver, Wash. –The investigation by the SW Washington Independent Investigative Response Team (SWIIR) into the October 17, 2021 officer involved shooting involving deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office is continuing.
Since the last communication from the SWIIR, investigators have been finishing reports in preparation for the case to be forwarded to the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.
Updates regarding the officer involved shooting investigation will be sent out at least once per week, via media release, from the SW Washington Independent Investigative Response Team, while the investigation remains active.

Vancouver, Wash. –On October 31, 2021 at approximately 12:51 a.m., Vancouver Police responded to a report of threats. A female reported that the father of her two-year old child had picked the child up earlier that evening and several hours later called her, making threats to harm the child. The Vancouver Police Department sent out information in an attempt to locate the suspect’s vehicle.
Vancouver Police were able to make verbal contact with the suspect, who agreed to turn himself in. At approximately 4:15 a.m., Vancouver Police contacted the suspect in the area of NE Fourth Plain Blvd./NE 57th Avenue and he was taken into custody. The child was located deceased.
The Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit, Digital Evidence Cybercrime Unit and the Gresham Police Department are continuing the investigation. It is believed that the homicide took place in Gresham, Oregon.
All other inquiries related to this case should be referred to the Gresham Police Department.

Vancouver, Wash. –Vancouver, Wash. –The investigation by the SW Washington Independent Investigative Response Team (SWIIR) into the October 17, 2021 officer involved shooting involving deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office is continuing.
Since the last communication from the SWIIR, investigators conducted interviews with the involved deputies and other witness officers and submitted evidence to the Washington state crime lab for processing.
Over the past few days, questions have been sent to the SWIIR regarding the September 29, 2021 Assault investigation, in which Kfin Karuo was identified as a suspect, and the involvement of the Vancouver Police Department in that investigation. That incident was being investigated by the Vancouver Police Department Safe Streets Task Force (SSTF) and a bulletin regarding that case was distributed to law enforcement on October 7, 2021. No detectives from the SSTF were involved in the October 17, 2021 officer involved shooting and no detectives from the SSTF are part of the SWIIR.
Updates regarding the officer involved shooting investigation will be sent out at least once per week, via media release, from the SW Washington Independent Investigative Response Team.

Vancouver Police looking for a missing adult endangered male (Update) (Photo) – 10/22/21
Stanley Lunde has been located, is safe, and his family has been notified.
Vancouver Police Department’s investigators are requesting public’s assistance in locating Stanley Lunde, a sixty eight year old male.
Stanley was last seen at his residence on Thursday October 14th, located at 4700 block of E. Evergreen Blvd in Vancouver, WA. Stanley does not own or have access to a vehicle and does not carry a cell phone.
At the time of this investigation Stanley was suffering from a medical condition, symptoms of which include memory loss, disorientation, and difficulty with reasoning.
Stanley is possibly wearing an oversized brown jacket and his shoes may be mismatched. The rest of his clothing is unknown at this time. Stanley is a Caucasian male, approximately (6) feet tall and weighing (200) pounds. Stanley usually has a friendly demeanor and likes to socialize with people around him.
Stanley is known for taking long walks in the Vancouver area and he also likes to use C-TRAN buses for transportation.

Update 2: Clark County Sheriff’s Office Officer Involved Shooting October 17, 2021 (Photo) – 10/21/21
Vancouver, Wash. –The investigation by the SW Washington Independent Investigative Response Team (SWIIR) into the October 17, 2021 officer involved shooting involving deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office is continuing. Prior to this incident, probable cause existed to arrest Kfin Karuo, for Assault I related an incident that occurred on September 29, 2021.
In the September 29th incident, the victim reported that he was parked in the parking lot of a business located at 11320 NE 49th Street. An unknown suspect in a white Ford Expedition drove up to his vehicle, asked him if he was a “cop” and when the victim told him it was none of his business, the suspect pointed a handgun gun at him and told him to leave the parking lot. The victim’s dash camera captured video of the suspect pointing the gun at the victim out of his driver’s side window (see link to video, which has no audio, and attached still from video). The suspect in that incident was identified as Kfin Karuo.
On October 17, 2021, Clark County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted a traffic stop of Karuo’s vehicle and initiated a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) in the area of NE 122nd Avenue/ NE 49th Street. Karuo, armed with a handgun, pointed the gun at the deputies, who then fired at him. Karuo was located a short distance from his vehicle deceased with a gun in his hand with his finger on the trigger.
The two involved deputies, who remain on critical incident leave are:
- Deputy David Delin, a 3.5-year deputy with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, currently assigned to Central Precinct Swing Shift.
- Deputy Forrest Gonzales, a 3-year deputy with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and 2-year Officer with the Aberdeen Police Department prior to being hired by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently assigned to West Precinct Graveyard.
No additional information is available at this time. Any additional information will be sent out via media release. Updates will be provided at least once per week.

Update: Aaliya Jackson has been located in Tacoma WA by the Tacoma Police Department and is safe.
The Vancouver Police is looking for 14 year old Aaliyah Jackson, who was last seen near her residence on 10/18/2021 around 1630 hours. Aaliyah was last seen wearing a black T-Shirt, gray sweatpants and a black zip up sweater. Her hair is shaved on the sides and is pink and black in color. Contact the Vancouver Police if you have seen Aaliyah.
Vancouver, Wash. –On October 18, 2021, at approximately 2:06 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a report of a robbery at the Columbia Credit Union located at 3003 NE 62ND Avenue. A male entered the credit union, presented a note to the teller, which indicated he would shoot the teller if she did not comply, and fled with an undisclosed amount of money. Officers canvassed the area, were able to quickly gather suspect information, probable cause, and the route the suspect took, to include an apartment complex and unit the suspect was later located at. Officers were able to get the suspect to exit the apartment without incident. A black Sig Sauer P365 look-alike pellet/air gun and other evidence was located inside the apartment.
Derek A. Troxler was booked into the Clark County Jail for Robbery I, Felony Harassment and Theft III.

Update 1: Clark County Sheriff’s Office Officer Involved Shooting October 17, 2021 (Photo) – 10/19/21
On October 17, 2021, at approximately 2:22 a.m., Clark County Sheriff’s deputies initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle associated with a person they had probable cause to arrest for Assault 1 with a handgun. The suspect failed to comply with a traffic stop and a pursuit ensued. CCSO deputies conducted a successful Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) in the area of NE 122nd Avenue/ NE 49th Street, and the suspect’s vehicle was immobilized. The suspect was armed with a handgun and pointed the gun at the deputies, who then fired at the suspect. The suspect, still armed with a handgun, fled on foot and was located a short distance from his vehicle deceased. When law enforcement located the deceased suspect, he still had the gun in his hand with his finger on the trigger (see attached photos of suspect gun recovered at the scene).
This is preliminary information based on initial reports of the incident and the early stages of the investigation.
Two deputies from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) were involved in this incident. Both deputies were placed on critical incident leave, per standard protocol.
The officer involved shooting investigation is being conducted by the SW Washington Independent Investigative Response Team (SWIIR), made up of detectives from the Vancouver Police Department (lead agency), the Battleground Police Department, and the Camas Police Department. Per the Washington state requirements for an Independent Investigative Team (IIT), two non-law enforcement community members are also participating in this investigation.
Additional information will be released as it becomes available. Updates will be sent out a minimum of once per week via a media release.
The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased.
Once the SWIIR Team investigation is complete, the case will be forwarded to the Clark County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.

On 10-15-21 at approximately 9:10 am multiple VPD patrol units were dispatched to an “Assault with a Weapon” radio call in vicinity of the Evergreen Park, 2400 Rossiter Lane.
Investigation revealed that there was an altercation between several adult individuals at the park. During the argument, a male suspect produced a handgun. The suspect struck an adult male victim with the handgun and shot at a female victim. Both victims were involved in some sort of argument with the suspect.
The female victim was transported to an area hospital; she is expected to survive the gunshot wound.
The suspect fled the area in a vehicle, described as a white possible SUV by witnesses.
As of the time of this writing, the investigation is ongoing and no further information is available. The incident appeared to be isolated in nature and there is no apparent threats or danger factors to other citizens living or passing through the area.
Vancouver, Wash. – On October 10, 2021, at approximately 4:00 a.m. Vancouver Police responded to an investigation into a kidnapping. The victim had been at a convenience store when a male, who is the respondent in a No Contact Order with the female victim, showed up at the store, assaulted and forcibly abducted the female, put her in his vehicle and fled the area. Officers responded to the victim’s apartment and heard yelling and a baby crying from inside. The victim texted her relative that she was in the apartment bleeding. The victim exited the apartment and was suffering from a head injury. The suspect remained inside the apartment and as officers entered, the suspect was holding the victim’s (and his) 2-month-old baby in his hands threatening to kill the baby with a hammer he was holding. Police began dialogue with the suspect, who dropped the hammer but continued to say he was going to kill the baby by throwing it off the second story balcony. The suspect began to squeeze the baby and a crisis entry hostage rescue involving multiple officers was deployed in an effort to prevent the suspect from killing the baby. A Taser deployment was unsuccessful on the suspect, and he continued to squeeze the baby. Multiple officers then grabbed the suspect’s arms, and one officer punched the suspect in the face to get him to release his grip on the baby, who was now limp. The suspect slightly released his grip, and the officers were able to pry the baby from his hands, saving the baby’s life. The suspect was taken into custody and the female victim and the baby were transported to area hospitals for evaluation. The baby is currently still hospitalized.
Aarondeep S. Johal, 32 years of age was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail for: Assault IV DV, Felony NCO violation, Malicious Mischief III, Kidnap I DV, DWS III, Residential Burglary DV, Kidnap I DV (of 2-month-old – hostage), Attempted Murder I DV (of baby), Resisting Arrest, Assault III.
