Nominees for the Northwest Personal Training Week 15 high school athlete of the week


Here are the nominees for the Northwest Personal Training Week 15 high school athlete of the week.

Voting will continue until 7 p.m. Wednesday, with results announced in Thursday’s edition of The Columbian.

Winners of the athlete-of-the-week may not be nominated again during the regular season, and no athlete may be nominated in consecutive weeks.

To avoid vote manipulation, voters must provide an email address. Votes are limited to one per day per email address.

Here are the nominees:

GIANNA D’EMILIO, LA CENTER GIRLS BASKETBALL: D’Emilio scored 24 and 23 points in two Trico League wins for the Wildcats.

OWEN ROBERTSON, UNION BOYS SWIMMING: Robertson swam a state-qualifying time in winning the 200 freestyle, won the 500 free and swam on two winning relays at the Kelso Invitational.

TAIT SPENCER, BATTLE GROUND BOYS BASKETBALL: Spencer scored 24 and 22 points in two wins for the Tigers, including the game-winning 3-pointer against Kelso.

CODY WHEELER, HOCKINSON BOYS WRESTLING: Wheeler won the 195-pound division with a pin in the final at the Clark County Championships.

KENNEDY WILCOX, PRAIRIE GIRLS WRESTLING: Wilcox won the 125-pound division with a pin in the final at the Clark County Championships.
