Surveillance videos showed there were up to three suspects prowling cars in the area
A Vancouver man was shot at by a suspect of an auto prowl early Wednesday morning.
At about 3:24 a.m. (Dec. 22), in the area of NE 165th Avenue and 32nd Street, a homeowner observed a man on his surveillance camera prowling cars in his driveway. The homeowner exited his house to confront the prowler.
The prowler began to run away with the homeowner following on foot. The suspect fell down in the street, and while getting back up, turned and fired a single round at the homeowner. The suspect then took off on foot through the neighborhood.
During the investigation and contact with some of the neighbors, other surveillance videos showed there were up to three suspects prowling cars in the area. Deputies suspect there are other victims of auto prowl and theft in the neighborhood.
