Recess Games

Grade levels: Students in first through fifth grades during the 2021-22 school year

Course description: Students will explore traditional recess games and etiquette, such as four square, wallball, red light green light, gaga ball, etc. Students will learn teamwork and sportsmanship in group games and sports.

Location: Ogden Elementary

Session A: Students in second through third grades during the 2021-22 school year
Session B: Students in fourth through fifth grades during the 2021-22 school year

Course description: Students will participate in a variety of fun, fitness based activities and games.

Improv Theatre

Location: Ogden Elementary

Grade levels: Students in sixth through eighth grades during the 2021-22 school year

Course description: Students will learn how to think on their feet, use their creativity, work as a team while playing fun games and learning about theatre basics. Students will perform an improv show similar to Whose Line Is It Anyway?.

Texture, Texture, Texture

Location: Ogden Elementary

Grade levels: Students in third through fifth grades during the 2021-22 school year

Course description: A workshop that explores texture through clay, paint, yarn, and many other mediums! Students will learn how to use these materials to make beautiful textured and cultural art.

Course description: Students will learn dances and explore cultures from around the world.

Watercolor Techniques

Location: Lincoln Elementary

Grade levels: Students in fourth through eighth grades during the 2021-22 school year

Course description: Students will explore watercolor techniques including wet on wet, dry on wet, color blending using salt and plastic wrap for texture effects.

Artist Study

Location: Lincoln Elementary

Session A: Create Georgia O’Keefe style gaint painted paper flowers
Session B: Create Mizuki Goto style painted paper textured collage landscapes

Course description: Students will explore the art forms of the artist using different mediums, vocabulary and create an interactive notebook.

Summer Choir

Location: Ogden Elementary

Grade levels: Students in third through eight grades during in the 2021-22 school year.

Course Description: Students will learn sheet music reading, harmonization, dynamics and choral singing techniques as they join together to form a choir.

We will be following state Covid guidelines and local health officials’ recommendations during in-person learning.
